Ingrid Glad wins Sverdrup Prize

Ingrid Glad, co-director at Integreat, is being awarded the Sverdrup Prize as "an outstanding representative of the field of statistics."

The Sverdrup Prize is a Norwegian research award in memory of Erling Sverdrup. The prize is awarded by the Norwegian Statistical Association (NSF).

The prize includes a diploma and a grant of NOK 10,000.

The prize is typically awarded every two years at the NSA's main meeting or at a separate event, where the recipient is asked to give a lecture on a topic of their choice.

NSF is an association for everyone with an interest in statistics and a desire to contribute to the dissemination of statistical insight and increase of sociatal impact of statistics.

The mission of the association is to connect Norwegian statisticians, and to promote their statistical and professional interests. The association shall contribute to cooperation between Norwegian statisticians and the international statistical community. Further, NSF shall work for dissemination of statistical insight and influence in the education system and elsewhere in society.
